Healthy living is an increasingly important topic on the agenda of policy makers. Containment of health care cost through public health and specific prevention programs is seen as a key element of the current social-economic policies in the western world. Mobile health technology holds the promise to make healthy living support more effective than traditional prevention programs.
This project focuses on how to design innovative solutions to support healthy consumption behaviour. As part of the TU Delft Health Coach Program we are developing hybrid coaching solutions that support the consumption of nutritious and healthy food. Such hybrid solutions comprise face-to-face coaching, web-based coaching technologies and mobile applications to track progress. Our work combines insights from nutrition, medicine, motivation theories, service design and human-computer interaction.
We are currently running a survey on mobile health apps for healthy eating. Please help us to understand your values with respect to eating and nutrition coaching and what apps you prefer: http://study.personalinformatics.eu
